Steps: Genius Hack: Make the bookmark unique by adding your child’s name to it. Mike was proud to show his school friends the one he made last week. I still remember how happy Lisa was when she showed me how she had made her bookmark. She gave hers some glitter and called it her “fancy bookmark for princess stories.”

Steps: Fun Tip: These are gorgeous thank-you cards or party invitations. Last month, Emily helped Mike make one for his grandmother, and she loved it so much. Steps: Helpful Idea: Change up the crafts for each season. For Christmas, for example, add a wintery touch. Lisa and I put snowflakes on ours in December of last year, and it’s still her favorite decoration. Lisa felt like a real artist when she did this craft. She even asked Emily to hang her art in the living room, where people still say nice things about it.
